Book Now for the 3rd Annual HNS Harvest End Breakfast!

On Thursday, November 9 (one week from tomorrow) from 7:30-9:00 a.m., we will be hosting our third annual HNS Harvest End Breakfast, this year being held at the Wu Welcome Centre in Alumni Hall, 512 Main St., next to Festival Theatre, Acadia University. Please plan to join us for great food, interesting speakers, and lots of networking.

This is a free event for both members and all our friends and partners in the community, so please share the news! To register, just RSVP to marlene@horticulturens.ca or call 902-678-9335 to reserve your plate.

Speakers to date include:

  • Dr. Matt McSweeney, Assistant Professor, School of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Director, Centre for the Sensory Research of Food, Acadia University
    Topic: “Using 3D Printing to Create Novel Food Products from Ugly Fruits and Vegetables”
  • Bill Livingstone, Research Project Manager, Nova Scotia Community College 
    Topic: “Integrating Drones into your Farm Operation”

Parking is free (there is some parking at Alumni Hall, also next door at Festival Theatre, or in back next to the Wolfville Farmers’ Market), and if you have special parking needs, please let us know so we can make arrangements. Register today!
