  • HNS Member Private Group Tour at McCain Farms of the Future

    On behalf of our members, we are planning a private group tour with McCain Farms of the Future in Peel, NB on July 16th !

    For the sign-up form please see here and for more details please see here. When choosing a preferred date, please note there will be a travel day the day before the tour and early departure the day following. Transportation will be provided and a block of rooms at a nearby hotel has been reserved.

  • Enhanced Cost Share for Acreage Loss PlanEnhanced Cost Share for Acreage Loss Plan

    We have partnered with Nova Scotia Crop & Livestock Insurance Commission to offer the Enhanced Cost Share for Acreage Loss Plan. With this plan, the Province of Nova Scotia may cover 50% of your producer premium for the 2026 and 2027 crop seasons. The application window has now closed.

    We grow amazing berries and vegetables in Nova Scotia, and what is more fun than to pick your own! Click here to see just some of what is available in our province! Please be respectful and patient if the U-Pick you choose is extra busy. Our farmers work extremely hard to provide this experience for the public, and we ask that you show your appreciation by waiting your turn if there is a line-up, or find another less busy. These are often family outings and looked forward to by thousands of people each year.
