Minor Use Pesticide Priority Setting
December 6, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
The vegetable and small fruit minor use priority setting session will be held in the big boardroom of Perennia at the Kentville Agricultural Centre. There will be a video link to the Perennia Truro office, so any one in the northern part of the province can go there and participate. As has been in the past we will go through each crop and assess the priority pest control needs for growers in NS for insect, weeds and diseases. (If you have ideas for solutions, please bring those as well)
Times:
Vegetables – 1:00 – 2:30 pm;
Small fruit (Highbush blueberry, strawberry, raspberry) – 2:30 – 4:00pm.
Any grower is encouraged to attend, so if you know of someone who would like to attend please forward this information on to them. If for some reason, you cannot make the meeting, please forward your critical pest control priorities and potential solutions (if you have them) to Peter Burgess at pburgess@perennia.ca. This prioritization process helps shape the minor-use registration work that is done by AAFC and helps provide more tools for growers down the road.
