CLIMATE ADAPTATION in HORTICULTURE
Welcome to our horticulture climate change adaptation webpage, where we address the need for strategic responses to climate impacts on the horticulture sector in Nova Scotia.
As climate change unfolds, it brings forth challenges that threaten the viability and productivity of horticultural activities. We aim to use this page to equip the horticulture industry with information, knowledge, tools, and practices need to navigate the vulnerabilities.
Recognizing these pressing concerns, a dedicated Scan Team comprised of sector representatives has crafted a comprehensive climate change adaptation strategy. This strategy is a collective vision aimed at strengthening the sector against immediate and long-term effects.
