Join International Consultant Ron Marshall for Growing Under Cover

Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture is hosting two workshops about Growing Under Cover as an add-on to the 2022 Nova Scotia Ministers Conference for Agriculture. Delphy Soft Fruit Advisor, Ron Marshall, will be bringing his international perspective live and in-person to Nova Scotia growers and potential growers.

Date: Saturday, November 5th
Location: Super 8 Hotel, 63 Cole Drive, Windsor, NS

Workshop 1: Optimized Growing in Soilless Media
(9am-noon)
• Learn management strategies to optimize irrigation, fertilization, temperature control and plant growth.
• Better understand how environmental management impacts plant, pest and pathogen growth.

Workshop 2: Technology Adoption for Protected Agriculture
(1:30pm-4:30pm)
• Hear about new technologies being researched and deployed in Protected Agriculture production.
• Gain insight into how technology can improve quality, reduce input costs and increase labour efficiency.

Both workshops will be held at the Super 8 Hotel in Windsor, NS
